Just Stop

Seriously, just stop. Stop under-eating. If you are hungry, you should eat some nutritious food. Stop over-eating. Stop burning the candle at both ends only to wonder why you can't lose weight and feel like crap. Stop doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

You do not need a treat everyday. You do not need inflammatory foods. You are responsible for your health and your body. Masking symptoms with medication does not make you healthy. Changing your food should be the FIRST step. You need to cook. It is better to make very simple foods rather than cook out of a package.

Yes, you have to cook. I am not saying don't ever eat out. If you eat 20 meals in a week, at least 16 of those meals should be prepared by you in your kitchen. Sure, go out and buy some cookbooks. But, cooking is not that hard. Have some veggies that are better cooked? Put some butter in a pan and cook them. Sprinkle on some celtic sea salt and eat. Have some veggies better raw? Dip them in some really good extra virgin olive oil.

By the way, you have a greater chance of eating vegetables if you buy vegetables. Get up and go to your frig - how many different vegetables do you have in there? Yeah, go to the farmer's market or grocery store this weekend and buy 2 new vegetables. AND EAT THEM. Buy them again the next week and get 2 more new vegetables. This is how you learn to eat veggies.

You have to eat. Stop eating until you are uncomfortable. Stop walking around hungry. Have lots of veggies with some yummy meat. Don't snack. If you need snacks, make better food choices at meal times.

No recipe today. Mom got a little riled up.

  1. Well said Mom! Really its very simple, eat a varied diet of healthy food and you will see the rewards. Don't and you will get what you have always gotten.
